Gold for Bimbadgen at the 2006 Macquarie Bank Sydney Royal Wine Show.
Hunter Valley winery Bimbadgen Estate Wines was awarded Gold medals at the 2006 Macquarie Bank Sydney Royal Wine Show for their 2002 Signature Semillon & 2003 Signature Individual Vineyard Shiraz, announced today. With over 302 winemakers and over 2349 entries in this years show, this is a great achievement and a great start to the 2006 wine show circuit for Bimbadgen Wines. The 2003 Signature Individual Vineyard Shriaz received the sole Gold medal awarded to a Hunter Valley & NSW Winery in this class which underscores the unique quality of the 35-year-old Shiraz vines from our Hunter Valley vineyards.
Winemaker of Bimbadgen Estate Wines, Simon Thistlewood was “delighted to receive 2 Gold Medals at the Sydney Wine Show as the show is considered one of the pinnacle wine shows around the country. It also reinforces the previous success we have had with both these wines in 2005”, Simon concluded.
Bimbadgen also received two Bronze medals for their NV Signature Pinot Chardonnay and new release 2005 Bimbadgen Estate Botrytis Semillon.
