Bimbadgen wins Australia's Best Tourism Winery!
Bimbadgen Estate once again received top honours on Friday night at the National Tourism Awards Gala Dinner held at the Star City Sydney winning the highly sought after 'Tourism Wineries’ category.
This is the second national award for Bimbadgen Estate, previously scooping this category in 2002. Bimbadgen advanced to the national awards final following a well deserved win in the Tourism Wineries category at the 2006 NSW Tourism Awards for Business Excellence.
The Tourism Wineries category is open to wineries offering a tourism experience. It is not a wine award, but regcognises a significant contribution to tourism through the provision of direct services to the general public.
Bimbadgen Estate proved to be a popular and deserving winner from the collection of esteemed finalists in the national category that included Gapsted Wines (VIC); Palandri Wines (WA); Moorilla Estate (TAS); Sevenhill Cellars (SA) and Murdering Point Winery (QLD).
Bimbadgen Estate celebrated a highly successful year in 2006 and received a number of major industry awards prior to the Australian Tourism Awards including a second consecutive win for Bimbadgen’s , Esca Bimbadgen Restaurant being awarded “Best Tourism Restaurant”, at the Restaurant and Catering Regional Awards in June 2006. Further signifying its unique appeal, Bimbadgen Estate was announced as winner of the prestigious Australian Business Arts Foundation NSW awards for their highly successful sponsorship of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA).
The annual 2006 – 2007 Australian Tourism Awards highlight the best Australia has to offer and celebrates business excellence in the tourism industry. The awards acknowledge tourism businesses that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success during the year.
