Bimbadgen Estate and Esca Bimbadgen are winners at the 2007 Hunter Regional Tourism Awards

Bimbadgen Estate and Esca Bimbadgen once again received top honours on Thursday night at the Hunter Regional Tourism Awards Gala Dinner held at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, winning the highly sought after 'Tourism Wineries’ and ‘Tourism Restaurant’ category.
This is the fifth regional award for Bimbadgen Estate since commencement of entering in 2002.
The Tourism Wineries and Tourism Restaurants categories are open to businesses offering a tourism experience. It is not purely a wine or food award, but recognises a significant contribution to tourism through the provision of direct services to the general public.
General Manager of Bimbadgen Estate, Mr. John Quirk, said the award was a testament to the continued success of Bimbadgen Estate, both as an integrated winery and food destination.
“Bimbadgen Estate plays a significant role in attracting visitors to the Hunter Valley, which continues to be a domestic and international drawcard for wine and food enthusiasts.' said Mr. Quirk after accepting the award.
Bimbadgen Estate is celebrating a highly successful year in 2007, receiving a number of major industry awards prior to the Regional Tourism Award. Other accoades for the Estate include winning the National Tourism Award in February for the 2006 period, Esca Bimbadgen restaurant was awarded 'Best Tourism Restaurant' and 'Best Restaurant in a Winey' at the 2007 Restauant and Catering Regional Awards in June, and a Five Star Winery rating in the 2008 James Halliday Wine Companion.
Bimbadgen will now compete in the NSW Tourism Awards, scheduled for October.
