  • Grown:
A blend of two vineyards, the O’Connor’s Vineyard and Golding Vineyards at Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills region of South Australia.
  • Picked:
Both parcels hand harvested in April, O’Connor’s Vineyard on the 4th and Golding Vineyard on the 10th.
  • Made:
De-stemmed and crushed to the press at a contract facility close to the vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. The juice was then loaded onto a tanker and transported to the Hunter Valley for fermentation and maturation. Cool fermentation of the separate parcels took place at a range of 12-16OC over 3 weeks, with the two parcels blended soon afterwards. Some time on lees post fermentation enhanced the mouthful combined with the tangy fruit acidity before fining and filtration.
  • Bottled:
    August 2011.
  • Analysis:
    Alcohol : 12.5 % T/A : 6.8 g/L pH : 3.21
  • Appearance:
    Pale straw-yellow.
  • Aroma:
    Apricot blossom and lemon sherbet.
  • Palate:
Classical pear with lemon citrus brightness, a subtle creaminess balanced with fresh fruit acidity.
  • Cellaring:
Enjoy this wine now whilst fresh and lively.
  • Food Match:
An ideal accompaniment to light salad dishes and canapés.
