  • Grown:
The fruit for this wine is a blend of two premium Tasmanian vineyards, Native Point Vineyard and Whitehills Vineyard in the cool climate Tamar Valley of Tasmania.
  • Picked:
Native Point Vineyard was hand harvested during the cool days of April 2011. Whitehills Vineyard was machine harvested in the early hours to preserve and enhance the natural fruit characters.
  • Made:
Gently crushed and pressed in Tamar Valley and transferred to the winery in Pokolbin via refrigerated transport. The wine was then cold fermented (120C to 140C) to preserve the pristine fruit aromas and flavours. Maturation was carried out in stainless steel with extended time on yeast lees to enhance the palate weight and texture.
  • Bottled:
    August 2011.
  • Analysis:
    Alcohol: 12% T/A: 7.6 g/L pH: 3.10
  • Appearance:
    Pale green.
  • Aroma:
Highly aromatic with kaffir lime leaf and snow pea sprouts and classic grassy herbaceousness.
  • Palate:
Pineapple and tangy citrus flavours with some fresh cut grass. A hint of creaminess and generosity balanced with zesty natural cool climate acidity.
  • Cellaring:
This wine has been made in a style to drink now whilst fresh and lively.
  • Food Match:
Match this wine to a range of salads, seafood and white meat dishes.
  • Awards:
BRONZE – 2011 Australian Cool Climate Wine Show. BRONZE – 2011 National Cool Climate Wine Show.
