A new variety for the Hunter Valley that originated in southern Italy. A robust wine with aromas of white flowers, citrus and celery salt spice. The palate is fresh citrus and crisp apple with a little white pepper spice. Flavoursome varietal tannins give structure and carry the fruit flavours along the palate. A versatile and food friendly wine suitable for many cuisines.
This Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the Orange wine region of NSW. Half this wine has spent five months in old and new French barriques, giving it a hint of oak character - or as the French refer to it 'Fume'. This subtle oak is perfectly balanced by ripe tropical passionfruit and guava with a grapefruit acidity giving the wine a long and refreshing citrus finish.
These grapes are grown in the cool elevated climate of Orange in New South Wales. The nose has the perfume of mixed red and blue berries, a reflection of the cool growing climate. The palate is a bit more brooding with blackcurrant and some cedar oak lending flavour and structure.
Nebbiolo, or Barolo as it is sometimes known, is indigenous to the Piedmont region of Italy. For our first take on this varietal, we have sourced fruit from the Hilltops region of New South Wales, known for its excellent ripening conditions. The wine exudes aromas of dried roses and red cranberries perfectly balanced by an intense fruit driven palate; while the tannins provide a muscular structure ensuring a long cellaring potential.
