Jimmy Barnes ‘Working Class Man 40th Anniversary Tour’ is heading to Bimbadgen!
Australian rock royalty Jimmy Barnes is coming to Bimbadgen for what promises to be one of the most powerful live shows of the year, a celebration of his iconic album For The Working Class Man.
Joining Jimmy on stage are three legendary Australian artists who helped shape the soundtrack of a generation: ICEHOUSE, Ian Moss, and Kate Ceberano. Together, they’ll bring an unforgettable energy to the Hunter Valley in this landmark musical event.
ICEHOUSE, fronted by the incomparable Iva Davies, will perform hits from their groundbreaking 1987 album Man of Colours, including global chart-toppers Electric Blue and Crazy. With the enduring anthem Great Southern Land cementing their legacy, ICEHOUSE continues to captivate audiences across generations. In 2006, the band was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame – a testament to their enduring impact on Australian music.
Ian Moss, famed for his soaring vocals and masterful guitar work, will reunite with Barnesy on stage. A founding member of Cold Chisel, Moss’s solo debut Matchbook featured the beloved hit Tucker’s Daughter. His recent release Live At Anita’s shows that Mossy is still at the peak of his musical powers – raw, soulful and endlessly impressive.
Kate Ceberano, one of Australia’s most versatile and celebrated performers, rounds out the stellar line-up. With a voice that spans genres and generations, her set promises a mix of hits from her platinum-selling solo career, along with reimagined Australian classics.
Headlining the show, Jimmy Barnes remains Australia’s most successful recording artist, with a record 16 solo number-one albums – plus six more with Cold Chisel. His latest solo album Defiant debuted at number one in June this year, reinforcing his unmatched presence in the Australian music landscape.
These shows will also pay tribute to the late Michael Gudinski, whose vision and support were instrumental in the creation of For The Working Class Man. As Gudinski once said, “This was Jimmy’s gift to his fans – a record for everyone who’s believed in him.”
