Hunter Valley Wine Show Success for Bimbadgen
We’ve struck gold at the 2025 PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show!
Bimbadgen is proud to celebrate a golden moment in our winemaking journey, having received one TROPHY and three GOLD Medals at the 2025 PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show.
The Hunter Valley Wine Show is the region’s most respected wine showcase, highlighting the very best from one of the Hunter Valley’s oldest and most celebrated vineyards. Judged by an esteemed panel of industry experts, a Gold Medal represents a wine of outstanding quality, and we’re thrilled to have multiple wines recognised in this way.
Trophy Winning Semillon
This year, Bimbadgen was awarded the Karl Stockhausen Trophy for Best One Year Semillon for our:
2024 Single Vineyard Palmers Lane Semillon
Crafted from our estate-grown fruit on Palmers Lane, this wine captures the essence of Hunter Valley Semillon at its finest. The 2024 vintage delivered beautifully balanced fruit, pristine, citrus-driven, and elegant in structure. This wine will gracefully evolve over the next five years to two decades, developing the toasted honey, brioche, and nutty complexities that define world-class Semillon.
Gold Medal Winners
In addition to the Trophy, Bimbadgen was awarded three Gold Medals for:
2025 Single Vineyard McDonalds Road Semillon
2024 Single Vineyard McDonalds Road Semillon
2023 Single Vineyard McDonalds Road Shiraz
Bimbadgen Winemaker, Sam Boyd, says, “The Single Vineyard range is all about capturing a true sense of place. Each block has its own story to tell, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see that character shine through and be recognised at such a high level.”
With Semillon and Shiraz at the core of the Hunter Valley’s identity, these results not only honour Bimbadgen’s heritage but also reinforce our commitment to crafting wines that speak authentically of their vineyard origins.
