World Moscato Day 2026 at Bimbadgen
Let’s raise a glass to the iconic Moscato this May 9, with World Moscato Day falling on a Saturday this year.
Light, aromatic and gently sweet, it’s the kind of wine that doesn’t need explaining, just a glass in hand and the right setting. And with World Moscato Day arriving, there’s no better time to revisit one of the most approachable and widely enjoyed wine styles.
At Bimbadgen Estate, we’re marking the occasion with a full week dedicated to Moscato, inviting you to explore it where it’s best enjoyed, right here in the Hunter Valley.
What Makes Moscato So Easy to Love
Moscato, or Muscat, is one of the oldest grape families in the world, with origins tracing back thousands of years across the Mediterranean. Despite its long history, it remains one of the most recognisable and enjoyed wine styles today.
What sets it apart is its character. Expect lifted aromas of orange blossom, citrus and stone fruit, paired with a naturally gentle sweetness and lower alcohol. It’s light on the palate, expressive in flavour, and incredibly easy to return to for another sip.
Explore Moscato at Bimbadgen
At Bimbadgen, Moscato is all about balance, expressive aromatics, and an easy-drinking style that suits any occasion.
Our Bimbadgen Sparkling Moscato NV, part of our iconic sparkling range, is a long-time favourite. Fun, fresh and lively, it shows a vibrant pink hue with lifted aromatics of musk and florals, leading into generous flavours of flowers and musk sticks balanced by a soft, natural sweetness. A fine spritz brings energy to the palate, finishing bright and refreshing.
To celebrate, we’re offering:
Buy 6 bottles of Moscato and receive 1 free
Available exclusively at the Cellar Door from 4–10 May.
For something a little different, the Bimbadgen Tu Es Belle ‘Sèrie 1’ Fortified Moscato offers a more expressive take on the style. Meaning “you are beautiful” in french, this limited release was born from a small parcel of fruit set aside during harvest and fortified to create something truly unique.
Made from Muscat Blanc, this ruby-hued Moscato shows aromatics of orange blossom, peach and red apple, with a palate of honeysuckle, blood orange and soft stone fruit. Richer in texture and still in style, it’s perfect over ice or as the base for a more creative serve.
Together, both wines highlight the versatility of Moscato, from fresh and lively to more structured and expressive.
A Sweet Finish at Esca Bimbadgen
The celebration continues at Esca Restaurant.
From May 4 to May 9, enjoy a complimentary glass of Moscato with every panna cotta dessert, a natural pairing that enhances the wine’s floral aromatics and soft sweetness.
It’s a simple addition, but one that makes slowing down over dessert even more worthwhile.
Whether you’re stopping by for a tasting, settling in for a long lunch, or simply enjoying a glass in the afternoon sun, this is the perfect time to revisit Moscato and experience it in a setting that does it justice.
