- Vintage Notes
The 2023/2024 growing season in the Lower Hunter Valley was characterised by a warm, dry winter and spring, followed by hot, windy conditions through flowering and ripening. Reduced rainfall and mild disease pressure produced smaller crops with concentrated flavours and excellent fruit health. Harvest commenced unusually early, with Semillon picked from early January under largely dry conditions. Despite low yields, fruit quality was exceptional, particularly for Semillon and Shiraz, showing intense flavour concentration, balanced acidity and strong varietal definition.
