We are pleased to announce that our 2023 vintage is well underway. Our Winemaker Richard revealed:

“It was an unusually late start to vintage in 2023 which was known to occur back in the 70’ and 80’s. Early season rain and mild days and cooler nights meant the fruit took longer to ripen on the vine. Picking commenced after Australia Day with Chardonnay grapes for our sparkling base being first. Once Semillon had hit physiological ripeness it was picked across our two vineyard properties and the quality looks amazing – balanced, elegant and pure with good natural acidity being the hallmarks. The rest of the Chardonnay followed with great fruit quality across the board all nicely ripened by prolonged exposure to constant heat days in February. The winery is full of gorgeous aromatics, with all whites fermenting away. We are now eagerly awaiting our reds and will keep you posted in our next update. Overall, a very pleasing start to 2023!”
